the times today has a huge list of all the words that we over here in the former colony have another word for. really the only difference it seems is most of the american ones are more to the point. it doesn’t list the aluminum vs aluminium debate though.

is big love accurate?
entertainment weekly interviewed brooke adams, who is the polygamy reporter for the salt lake tribune, about the accuracy of hbo’s big love. adams also runs the tribune’s polygamy blog, which is here, and quite interesting.
squirrels have figured out how to make their tails warm up, which apparently helps in not getting eaten by rattlesnakes.

slr vs. veyron
much longer than it needs to be, and the guy who’s driving the slr doesn’t appear to be able to find an actual gear, but getting passed like that probably doesn’t happen to that guy very often.
